Water security: enabling South Australia's next chapter of growth

Water security has long been fundamental to South Australia’s prosperity. As the state looks to population growth, new housing and investment in renewable energy, critical minerals and defence, planning water infrastructure ahead of demand will be increasingly important.

Writing for CEDA, GHD Water Market Leader - SA & NT Danny Grzan explores why water should be considered not simply as infrastructure that responds to growth, but as infrastructure that can help enable it. Danny highlights the need for adaptive planning that preserves options as future demand becomes clearer, drawing on a mix of water sources alongside efficiency, reuse and demand management.
