GHD recognized as one of Canada's Greenest Employers for second consecutive year

GHD was recognized for the second consecutive year by MediaCorp Canada, Inc. as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers, reinforcing the firm’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and embedding sustainability into its day-to-day operations. 

GHD offers a range of programs designed to support environmental stewardship across the organization, including:  

• A green procurement strategy 

• A formal employee sustainability action team 

• Informal employee-led green initiatives 

• Sustainable building practices, including EV charging stations 

“Sustainability is not a separate initiative at GHD, it’s part of how we think, work and make decisions every day,” said Steve Lécuyer, executive general manager for Canada at GHD. “This recognition reflects the practical actions our people take to reduce our environmental footprint and deliver more sustainable outcomes for our clients and communities.” 

Now in its 19th year, Canada’s Greenest Employers is an editorial competition that recognizes employers that lead the nation in creating a culture of environmental awareness. Winners are evaluated on: The uniqueness and effectiveness of their environmental initiatives; success in reducing their own environmental footprint; employee involvement and contribution and whether environmental initiatives have become linked to the employer's public identity, attracting new employees or customers. 

In addition to this recognition, Mediacorp Canada named GHD one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2026 in November; one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People and Waterloo Area’s Top Employers for 2026 in January; one of Canada’s Top Diversity Employers in February and a Top Employer in Southwestern Ontario for 2026 in April.
