GHD strengthens APAC Business Advisory leadership with appointment of Lucy Hovanec
Lucy Hovanec, APAC Business Advisory Leader
Professional services company GHD has appointed Lucy Hovanec as APAC Business Advisory Leader, strengthening its leadership capability as demand grows for integrated advisory services across the region.
Lucy takes on the role at a time when clients are increasingly navigating complex infrastructure and environmental challenges, prioritising investment and delivering large-scale programs. She will lead a team of over 400 across the region, bringing together GHD’s infrastructure advisory capability to support clients from concept to strategy and execution.
Lucy brings more than 20 years’ experience across advisory, consulting, construction and project delivery in Australia, Africa, the Pacific and Asia. She steps out of her role as General Manager for ACT, Southern NSW and Papua New Guinea, where she led multidisciplinary teams delivering complex projects for government and industry. She has worked with APAC clients spanning the private sector, federal and local governments, international development agencies, water utilities and Asian and Pacific island local government authorities.
Combined with her APAC Business Advisory role, Lucy will also continue as APAC International Development Sector Lead, where she is driving growth with our international development clients, including Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Asian Development Bank, New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the World Bank.
“It is my absolute privilege to take on this role at a time when our clients need more integrated support than ever,” Lucy said.
“What excites me most is the opportunity to bring together our incredible advisory, technical and delivery capability to help our clients move faster and get things done. Our focus is simple: be the partner our clients call first when it matters most.”
GHD’s APAC CEO Van Tang said Lucy’s appointment reflects both the scale of opportunity and the importance of Business Advisory to GHD’s future growth.
“Lucy is a proven leader who combines strategic insight with a strong track record of delivery,” Van said. “She understands how to connect advisory thinking with real-world execution which supports our clients to make confident decisions and deliver complex programs across diverse markets. Her leadership will strengthen our position across APAC and support our clients as they respond to rapidly changing economic, environmental and geopolitical conditions.”
GHD recently announced the appointment of Nick Pohl to lead its global Business Advisory practice.
