Approvals secured for a new era of waste management in Ontario
GHD worked as the lead consulting firm to carry out the environmental assessment of the Emerald Energy From Waste Inc. (Emerald) facility expansion project in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The project received approval from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation & Parks and will enable Emerald to process up to 900,000 tonnes of residual waste annually and recover up to 100 MW of energy daily.
