Sheryl Cornelius provides global leadership for GHD’s people, talent and workforce functions. Previously Sheryl was People Leader for the Asia Pacific Region, and served on GHD's Acquisition & Integration Advisory Group and the Global Rewards Steering Group.

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, she is a member of the Steering Committee of the Diversity Agenda, an industry organisation focused on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in engineering and architecture. She has been a GHD Executive Director since April 2017 until May 2026.
Sheryl has more than 30 years’ leadership experience across several industries including FMCG manufacturing, banking, retail and private health. Sheryl has an Honours degree, majoring in Industrial and Organisational Psychology and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Waikato. She is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
