HONOLULU, Hawaii [6 November 2026] -- GHD announced that Alyssa Agustin, senior coastal scientist and project manager, has been named one of Engineering News-Record West's 2027 Top Young Professionals. The annual program recognizes professionals under 40 who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, leadership and community involvement while shaping the future of the architecture, engineering and construction industry.

ENR West selected 30 winners from a field of more than 100 nominees spanning California, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii and Alaska. Honorees will be featured in the first issue of ENR West in 2027 and advance to consideration for ENR's national Top 20 Under 40 program.

Based in Honolulu, Agustin leads and supports coastal resilience, maritime infrastructure and federal projects throughout Hawaii and the Pacific region. Her work focuses on helping clients address complex coastal, environmental and infrastructure challenges while strengthening resilience for communities and critical assets.

Since joining GHD's federal business in 2025, Agustin has applied her knowledge in coastal and ocean engineering to projects supporting military readiness, maritime infrastructure and climate resilience. She currently serves as a National Elected Director of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), one of the nation's leading organizations connecting industry and government professionals working to strengthen infrastructure and national security.

The recognition adds to a list of accomplishments that includes Pacific Business News’ 40 Under 40, Pacific Edge Magazine Top Young Professional and graduation from the SAME Leader Development Program, a selective year-long initiative that develops emerging leaders from across the Society through approximately 120 hours of training in strategic thinking, collaboration and team leadership.

"Alyssa is the first to redirect recognition to her team and colleagues, and that humility is part of what makes her such an effective leader,” said Todd Graham, US Federal Sector Leader at GHD. “This honor reflects her technical depth, her commitment to the communities she serves across the Pacific and the many people she has brought along with her along the way."

"I'm honored to be recognized by ENR and grateful to the many colleagues, clients and mentors who have been part of my professional journey," said Agustin. "I've had the opportunity to work on projects that are meaningful to the communities they serve, and this recognition is especially rewarding because it reflects the collective efforts of so many people I've been fortunate to work alongside."
