Committed to the energy transition

Critical minerals are essential for producing electric vehicles, solar panels, wind turbines, mobile phones, and more. As we transition to a renewable energy future with increasing technology shifts, the need for critical minerals will intensify. It’s expected that the demand for critical minerals will soar between 20 to 40 times by 2040.

We need new reserves, production systems and supply chains to progress global decarbonisation strategies and transition the mining and metals sector, along with other industries and markets , to low-carbon economies. Enabling the production of critical minerals with a higher level of ESG oversight will also help contribute toward a just energy transition.

Our critical minerals experience within the public and private sectors across Asia-Pacific, the Americas, Europe and the Middle East means we can draw on the technical capability of our global network to service projects across the entire supply chain. This puts us in a unique position to offer deep knowledge and expertise across the critical minerals value chain and provide insights for our clients.

We’ve got you covered across the critical minerals lifecycle.

  • Project initiation
  • Business case
  • Project development
  • Project financing
  • Construction
  • Operations and maintenance
  • Asset transition

We approach projects from two angles to deliver both the optimal technical solution and the best outcome to support value chain integration. The end goal of each project goes beyond development and execution of engineering design to successfully bring a resource to market.

Beyond mining, we can help you connect the dots by facilitating logistics planning and analysis, environmental approvals, government grants, market research and strategic introductions to support international process and offtake agreements.

Turning mine waste into a resource

With 100 billion tonnes of mine waste being generated per year, thousands of high-risk tailings dams, and a growing scarcity of raw materials, we have a golden opportunity to turn waste into a resource.

Tailings are made up of about 80% silicates. Silicates are essential for soils and excellent for geopolymers, which offer a much greener construction solution than concrete.

By converting “waste” into a resource that can be repurposed by the construction and agriculture industries, our industry can play a critical role in contributing to sustainability on a global scale.

The benefits are abundant:

  • Reducing the need for traditional tailings storage facilities
  • Improving sustainability and collaboration across industries
  • Creating vibrant economic hubs for mining regions

Enabling sustainable communities during and beyond the life of a mine.
