Sustainable aviation fuel is becoming an important part of the infrastructure, policy and investment conversation across Asia Pacific.

Southeast Asia has strong potential to become a global hub for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The ASEAN SAF 2050 Outlook, developed by GHD with the ASEAN Secretariat, Boeing (knowledge partner) and Global Affairs Canada, ASEAN economies could generate up to 8.5 million barrels per day of SAF by 2050. Feedstocks include used cooking oil, rice waste, cassava waste and forestry residues.
