Sheryl Cornelius named GHD’s Chief People Officer
Global professional services company GHD has named Sheryl Cornelius as its new Chief People Officer.
In her new role, Sheryl will lead GHD’s global people, talent and workforce functions, supporting more than 12,000 employees around the world. Since joining GHD in 2011, Sheryl has held a number of senior leadership roles, most recently as People Leader for GHD’s Asia Pacific region. Her appointment reflects GHD’s strong commitment to developing leaders within the business.
“Stepping into this global role gives me the opportunity to build on the strong foundations we already have. GHD’s continued success is driven by the commitment of our people, and my focus will be on helping our teams thrive as we evolve, unlocking their potential, and supporting the culture that makes GHD so special. The direction GHD is taking is bold and ambitious, and I’m excited to be part of this next chapter,” Sheryl says.
Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Sheryl succeeds Jan Sipsma, who has been appointed Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer. Sheryl will step down as an Executive Director at the end of June, following nine years of service on GHD’s global Board.
